Since its football season and this is my favorite sport to watch I thought I would post some good sports bars in the Portland Oregon area. Some of them will be in the surrounding cites as well. This list isn’t in any specific order.
1) Bleachers sports bar. Its located in the cedar mill area. I don’t go there too much but have gone a few times. This sports bar is a raiders bar. They need to upgrade there TV’s in a major way. The last time I went the lady acted like I was gonna stiff her and run out. She kept asking for the money. If your looking for good TVs and lots of them this isn’t the best bar to watch sports games at. It’s located near one of my friends houses so this helps a little.
2)Buffalo Wild Wings
I have gone to eat here but haven’t sat down to watch football yet. I did go the other weekend but during the middle of the day. What a bad idea. We couldn’t even find a place to stand let alone sit. This places is brand new and you can tell. They have lots of TV’s that are brand new flat panel HDTV’s. Of course this is why the place is packed to the rim with people. They open at 9 am during football season on Saturday and Sunday.
So if you plan to go make sure you arrive early to get a seat. The wings are decent too. If you go on Tuesdays they have a special on the boneless buffalo wings. I have been a few times on this cheap skate day. They have excellent service here every time I have been here. I would highly recommend this place for a bar and to get a affordable meal.
This bar is located outside or Portland in Forest Grove Oregon. Its a little drive so its one reason I don’t go here as much. I do like the style of this bar being not a so fancy place. It’s not a dump but its not a upscale place either. This is probably because its closer to the country and draws the farmer type customers in. I’m sorta stretching it a little here. This bar has enough TV’s to please everyone. The food is ok not too bad. I didn’t eat the higher priced items though. Every Tuesday they have a small texas holdem tournament going on. Usually its forty dollars to buy in and you can win around 600-700 for first place. It just depends on how many people enter usually around 30-40 people. The family that owns this bar also owns Buddys sports bar out in Beaverton.
4) Buddys Sports Bar.
Now that I remember this one I guess I will write about it. I like Buddy’s. Its a small bar though with no alot of seating. If you go during football season I recommend you show up bright and early to get a seat. If you go during civil war games good luck finding a spot. I ordered the mexican feieta and its a huge plate of food. All my buddies were making comments how big it was and I always order the most expensive thing. It was only nine bucks.
5)I don’t remember the name of this one. HAHA. I did goto it for the first time last Sunday to watch football. We have been hunting for a place to watch this season since Best bet shut down. This one is off of Canyon Road in Beaverton. Oh I think its called Cheerful. Now that I remember how the bar is laid out like cheers is. This bar is loaded with Flat panel TV’s. It has a nice feel to it. Not too of a upperclass bar which feels cool.
I know there are more sports bars but that is all for now.
